Sweetened Breakfast Cereals
Most of the people like to start their day by having the breakfast with cereals cause they are easy to make and delicious in taste but they are not the good option for the diabetic person cause they contains lots of carbs and less fiber and vitamins. Most of the breakfast cereals are highly processed and added sugar to provide energy but they contains very few nutrients due to which they increase blood insulin/sugar level of the body. So, it is always advised to choose breakfast with high protein & low carb to control your diabetes and appetite instead of taking the high carb cereals.
White Breads and Rice
White bread, rice and other refined flour foods like pasta are high containing carbs foods that can significantly increase the blood sugar level. Highly processed floor foods like white bread, pasta, noodles etc…. contains high level of carbs but have less fibers and proteins. Alternatively, replacing the white bread with high fiber bread and avoiding to take processed and refined flour food products can reduce the blood sugar level of diabetic person.

Sugar sweetened beverages are the worst choice for the diabetic people. Most of the sweetened drinks are loaded with high level of fructose due to which these drinks leads to metabolic changes, promote belly fat and also increase blood insulin and harmful cholesterol to the body. So, if you are diabetic, it is advised you to not to take soda and other sugary drinks that have high carbs that not only increase blood sugar but also increase the risk of obesity, fatty liver and other diseases.
Packaged Snack Foods
Different packaged snacks foods such as chips & crisps, pretzels, crackers, cookies and other packaged foods are prepared with refined flours and have fast digesting carbs and less nutrients that expeditiously increase the blood sugar. That is why these are not good snacks option to diabetic. So if your get hungry between the meal time, then it is advised to take some low carbs food or nuts to maintain your blood sugar level.
However, fruit juices are considered as healthy drink but for diabetic person it effect exactly the same as other sugary beverage and soda do. Cause the fruit juice are extract from fruits by removing the pulp and fibers due to which fructose level upsurge in it and not only increase the blood sugar level but also increase the chances of obesity and heart disease. Alternatively, it is advised to take water with a wedge of lemon instead of fruit juices.
Plain yogurt is good for diabetic person but the fruit flavoured yogurt is not good for diabetic patient health as the fruit flavoured yogurt are high in sugar however they are low in fat. That is why, they increase the risk of higher blood sugar and insulin levels. So it is it advised to opt for plain whole milk yogurt that not contains sugar which is considered as good option for overall health.
We all aware about the health benefits of coffee, it is also beneficial to control the diabetes but when it comes to flavoured coffee, it is not good for health because the flavoured coffee have high quantity of carbs that significantly increase the blood sugar level. So it is suggested to choose the pain coffee instead of flavoured one to control blood sugar level and weight as well.
