In today’s busy world, most of us is getting entangled between managing heavy workloads, dealing with relationships and family responsibilities and squeezing in outside interest. Due to over stress of many responsibilities, most of the people is getting ill with several mental diseases like depression, hypertension etc… that makes the immune system weaken and develop major diseases like heart attack. As per the recent researches chronic stress may have double risk of heart attack.

So it is required to maintain work-life balance perfectly and reduce the unnecessary stress that may leads you to near your death. Here, the tips are mentioned that may help you to maintain your work life balance.

  • Define Working Hours

To maintain your healthy work life balance it is required to define working hours and follow them strictly. This will help you to save your time for your home and loved ones. It will also increase your daily productivity.

  • Prioritize the work

Firstly create your to-do list for the day or a week then prioritize them in following 3 categories:

  • Important and Urgent
  • Importance but not Urgent
  • Urgent but not Important

Then prepare your work schedule accordingly.

  • Define Daily Goals

Set realistic and manageable goals for the day at work this will help you to meet priorities and feel a sense of accomplishment and control. By defining daily goals you will easy to achieve your deadlines and reduce the workload. 

  • Play With Your Strengths

No one can be perfect to do all things at his/her own, so don’t hesitate to say no or outsource the work that is not your forte or interest. Doing the work that is not complimenting you will waste your time. So it will be good to utilize your time with the work that is productive to you.

  • Take Small Break from Work

Take few 5-10 minutes small breaks at work in every 1-2 hours. This will help to refresh your mind and increase your productivity. It will also improve your ability to deal with stress.

  • Limit Time Wasting Activities

Identify the activities that are affecting your productivity and distracting you to reach your goal. So create your boundaries to devote your quality time to the high priority work. This will increase your efficiency.

  • Tune In

Listen to your favorite music at work to foster concentration, reduce stress and nervousness, and rouse creativity. So, take the headphones and start to listen your favorite music and increase your productivity.

Instead of oily, spicy and junk food, include the food that is full of proteins and vitamins in your daily diet. This will help you to keep yourself healthy and active.

  • Dress-up Well

Either you are on work or at home you should dress up very well this will make you feel comfortable and confident.

  • Chat with Loved Ones

Family and friends play most important role in everyone life. It doesn’t matter whatever you are facing good or bad time at work or personally, you get support from your loved ones. Chatting with friends and family members will help you to stress out.

  • Take Time for Yourself

Beside all of the roles and responsibilities you have in your daily life, find tie for yourself half an hour at least and do something that is of your interest and you really want to do it. Make you feel special for your own for some time.

  • Take a good sleep

A good sleep can be considered a key for healthy lifestyle. It help to reduce stress and give you relax and freshness.

At home, you should spend your quality time with your family and loved ones. To make better balance in professional and personal life don’t mix them. Means, try not to take calls from office at home and similar avoid calls from home at work until you feel that is really very important.
